Who is Mabel?
Mabel is named after my grandmothers—both named Mabel—who were born and raised in the South, and made everyone feel at home the second they walked through the door. They believed dessert was a love language, and no one left hungry or wanting more.
This little business is an ode to them.
There are deep Nashville roots here, too—my grandmother was from Nashville, and my mom was raised here (my grandfather was a milkman in Sylvan Park), so this feels especially special.
I’ve been making this key lime pie for years for friends and family, and it somehow always became the thing people requested, brought up later, and asked me to make again. So I finally decided to lean into it and share it more widely.
At Mabel, I focus on doing one thing really well: a perfect key lime pie that’s meant to be shared (or not—no judgment).
Made in small batches in Nashville, always with the same intention my grandmothers had—feeding people well and making it feel special.
